You can consider yet another looming shutdown of our government as a metaphor for today's GOP. Whether it's corruption behind it, with bought-off Republican members of Congress not caring who gets screwed, the way they don't care about the never-ending list of alleged crimes committed by Donald Trump and members of his family while for years chasing Hunter Biden--someone who never served in government and most have never met--just to get at his father. It is truly evil.

Or the cruelty, such as when some sociopathic knucklehead like Rep. Brandon Smith gets asked on television about the shutdown, and says of course he'll still be getting paid, he's not independently wealthy after all (actual estimate: net worth of up to $8MM) --but we shouldn't feel sorry for the 4 million government workers who will lose their paycheck.

And the incompetence? Well, this group of GOP idiots can't pass defense bills, agriculture bills, fund the government, hell, they can barely chew non-liquid food. They look like Elon in a cowboy hat on the Southern border.
