Turns out the #1 promoter of Russian propaganda on Twitter is the guy who owns Twitter. But I guess we've known that for a while now, haven't we? And whatever one thinks of Twitter, it is still one of the biggest news sources in the world, certainly it is for social media. It's just that the owner is a wanker who for whatever reason has chosen to make the platform into a force for evil instead of good.

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk mocked Ukraine’s war-time leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday, using a meme to scoff at the president’s calls for Western aid.
“When it’s been 5 min and you haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid,” read Musk’s message, which accompanied Zelenskyy’s head attached to a famous photo of an agitated schoolboy, who — according to the meme’s etymology — was in a classroom and desperately trying to hold in flatulence.
Musk has had a troubled relationship with Ukrainians and the country’s administration since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his full-scale invasion in February 2022, but now they’ve had just about enough of the SpaceX chief and owner of X (formerly Twitter).
And of course, KremlinTV loved Musk's tweet, with host Olga Skabeeva gushing, "Elon Musk is magnificent, he is wonderful and perhaps he really is our agent!"
Predictably, Musk’s cruelty brought joy to Putin’s mouthpieces. During Monday’s broadcast of 60 Minutes, state TV host Olga Skabeeva noted, “It’s impossible not to notice that the West is getting sick not only of Zelensky but Ukraine as a whole, as a circumstance that is constantly siphoning away their money. Elon Musk is magnificent, he is wonderful and perhaps he really is our agent! He published a meme about a beggar that recently became popular, using Zelensky’s face instead of that person. It says, ‘When it’s been five minutes and you haven’t asked for a billion dollars in aid.’”
Musk's tweet, one of his many negative tweets about Ukraine and aid for Ukraine seen recently.
Ukrainians were not pleased and responded in kind.
