Guys, Lord Damp Nut thinks his “think tank” (and if you can suppress a giggle at that, you’re a better man than I Gunga Din) is ripping him off and should be moistening his beak:
The America First Policy Institute is a pro-MAGA think tank whose aim is to craft policies around the political agenda of former President Donald Trump.
And, according to Rolling Stone, Trump believes that it owes him “millions” of dollars for supposedly making money using his branding.
According to the publication’s sources, Trump has been fuming that the think tank has been raking in big checks and not giving him a cut of the action.
He’s not taking it any better than Doyle Lonnegan, from The Sting:
“It’s my f—ing money!” he fumed earlier this year, according to one source.
And of course, he’s too stupid to know he cannot have at it:
“AFPI is a tax-exempt, educational nonprofit and is expressly barred under IRS rules from spending money on elections or donating to a political candidate like Trump,” the publication explains. “Given that Trump is a candidate for office, paying him personally could be seen as attempting to aid a political campaign. One of the experts pointed out that tax-exempt nonprofits must(3)PublicCharities.pdf) also operate for public benefit, and they cannot disproportionately benefit private individuals or pay them more than fair market value for their services.”
The “Think Tank” is the thing coming up with all the ways to enable the fascist take-over of the United States if somehow the once-elected, twice impeached, quintuply-indicted, 91-ily charged LOSER is somehow not in prison and instead is in the White House.
So you see, it still is all a grift to this conman.
