Wisconsin Republican Representative Scott Fitzgerald said that he wanted to go straight to the vote for impeachment of Joe Biden and send the matter to the Senate for trial.

Wisconsin MAGA Representative Scott Fitzgerald was interviewed by Matt Smith of WISN-TV, which apparently came before Wednesday's debacle of a vote.

Fitzgerald said that he was told by Gym Jordan that contempt charges against Hunter Biden would be coming quickly. Fitzgerald also said that he was against accepting the notion of letting Hunter Biden testify publicly, apparently afraid that Biden would be able to outsmart every House Republican.

Fitzgerald also said that he was planning on voting to formalize the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden and that he was actually ready to just vote for impeachment and send the matter to the Senate:

Smith: I presume you're a yes vote this afternoon on the impeachment inquiry involving President Biden.

Fitzgerald: Yeah, absolutely. I think giving additional tools to the chairmen of those three committees I mentioned makes a lot of sense. But I've said publicly already that I've seen enough that there is enough for an impeachment vote and the U.S. Senate should hold a trial.

Fitzgerald went on to admit that Speaker Jebus Johnson is taking a more measured approach but for his part, he was ready to go.

I would have loved to have the reporter pursue the questioning further by asking Fitzgerald exactly what he saw enough of that he was ready to go straight to a vote for impeachment. Fitzgerald had betterr be ready to run down a list of concrete evidence - and not just conspiracy theories and speculation - of impeachable offenses that Biden had done, because when he was presented with mountains of evidence showing wrongdoing by TFG, Fitzgerald dismissed it and voted twice against impeaching Trump.

Then again, Fitzgerald has skin in the game of protecting TFG since Fitzgerald had a role in at least supporting the Wisconsin fake electors. Despite the Wisconsin Capitol Building being closed due to the COVID pandemic, Fitzgerald, who was still a state senator at the time, reserved the conference room in which the fake electors met, coordinating it with Trump lawyers Jim Troupis and Kenneth Chesebro.
