During a softball interview on Fox not "news" this Sunday, Trump once again proved he's living in some alternative reality.

Following yet anther unhinged rant during an hour long softball interview with former GOP Rep. turned Fox host Trey Gowdy, where he was going on about how terribly Democrats supposedly treated him for prosecuting him for crimes he actually committed, Trump told this whopper about inflation before making a bunch of convoluted statements about how things are supposedly going in Iran.

TRUMP: And frankly, know, with the inflation, I've largely taken care of inflation. By the way, the gasoline is going to go down. The oil is going to go down like a rocket going in the opposite direction as soon as we win that war, complete the war.

I thought it was already "mission accomplished." And it got worse the more he talked where he was still airing his grievances against South Korea and NATO for not wanting to get involved in his illegal war.

TRUMP: Already, you know, we've got total control. I would say almost total. They could be a nuisance, but we have control of the Hormuz Strait. We've swept it of all the mines.

You know, we don't have mines there now. We have all of the international. We got rid of them with very little help from other countries.

And we help other countries. We spend billions and billions of dollars helping NATO and other countries. South Korea, as an example. We help them, but when it came to helping us, I didn't put on a heavy sell, but I just said, would you like to participate? And they all said, no, thank you. And I said, I'm going to remember that to myself.

And so you could say we're going to make a lot of money because when they're not willing to go for you, you just can't be a stupid person and, you know, help them.

They want our help. We have thousands and thousands, like in South Korea as an example, we have 40,000 soldiers over there. And I said, do you mind giving us a little hand with Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran? And they say, well, we'd rather not.

I said, okay, thank you very much, I appreciate it. I think you have to remember that stuff. I really do.

This nonsense aired on the same night the US escalated for the first time in a month:

Iran and the United States traded attacks for the first time in over a month overnight into Monday, in an exchange that risks reigniting the damaging conflict after weeks of relative military calm.

Iran fired missiles toward US military targets in Jordan in retaliation for a strike on Iranian rocket launchers that the US said were trying to launch sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz –– the key shipping route that’s become the center of regional tensions and diplomatic efforts.

Six months into the festering conflict, the two nations have been locked in battle over control of the waterway, critical to global energy supplies, with Tehran asserting its claimed right to manage it with regular strikes on vessels, and the US determined to keep traffic flowing by guiding ships and a military blockade of Iranian ports.

The exchange came just days after President Donald Trump declared the strait free from mines, and is a break with Washington’s recent shift in focus to maximizing economic pressure on Iran rather than military actions.

But everything is going swimmingly according to this lying maniac.

So much winning. Keep telling everyone not to believe their own eyes, their own lived experiences with the cost of living, and how well things are going with Iran and we'll see how well that works out for you and your party.

Shame on Gowdy for sitting there nodding along.

That's how it started. You can check the rest of his feed for more of the debacle.
