(The Independent) A young couple have been stranded in the US for the next three months after their baby was born 11 weeks early – and they face a medical bill of up to £130,000. Katie Amos, 30, and her fiancee Lee Johnston, 29, were on a five-day trip to New York when their son Dax arrived, weighing just 3lb. But doctors have told the couple that the newborn cannot fly home until 10 March, leaving the pair desperately worried about how they will fund their unexpected extended stay.
