Presidential hopeful Mike Pence responded to the racially motivated mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida by calling for "an expedited federal death penalty for anyone engaged in a mass shooting." That's nice, but that will not stop a potential shooter. It only punishes them after the act. How about -- and stay with me here for a second -- some gun restrictions.
