Protesters on Friday interrupted vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan's speech to the Values Voter Summit and were dragged from the building by security personnel.

"Corporations are not people!" one woman screamed as Ryan began his remarks.

"Thank you so much," Ryan quipped. "I appreciate your support. Thank you so much. I appreciate it."

While the woman was being dragged from the room, the crowd erupted into chants of "U-S-A!"

Minutes later, a man spoke out during Ryan's remarks about how President Barack Obama was "dividing up the wealth."

"Corporations are not people! Corporations are not people!" the man shouted.

"U-S-A! U-S-A!" the crowd again chanted.

"Thank you very much," Ryan said as the man was quickly removed by two security guards.

Speaking at the Iowa State Fair last year, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney had asserted that “corporations are people.”
