Pianist Roger Muraro - well received Ravel.

From the Salle Pleyel in Paris this week for a live concert by Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Myung-Whun Chung and featuring Roger Muraro, Piano with music by Ravel and Moussorgski.

The concert was recorded by Radio France on April 23, 2010 and features the orchestra in Ravel's Rhapsodie Espagnol and is joined by Muraro in a performance of the Piano Concerto. After a Chabrier encore (and a switch to the player below), the orchestra finishes the concert with a performance of the Ravel arrangement of the Moussorgski - Pictures At An Exhibition.

As always, the concert is a little over 90 minutes so it's broken up into two parts. Part one (top player) is the Ravel and Part two (bottom player) is the Moussorgski.

Announcements are in French, but that shouldn't bother you by now and the notes are below:

Salle Pleyel : Ravel, Moussorgski

Maurice Ravel
Rhapsodie espagnole
Concerto en Sol

Modeste Moussorgski & Maurice Ravel
Tableaux d'une exposition

Roger Muraro, Piano
Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France
Myung-Whun Chung, Direction

Concert donné le 23 avril 2010

Enjoy.. It might be a little late today for Anti-Road Rage Wednesday, but it works just as well for Thursday, or Friday.
