Beady Eye - from the ashes of Oasis . . . .

Since we had a good turnout with Pujol on our first Roundtable Special, I thought I would keep it going with Beady Eye, recorded live in studio (in London) and relayed via KEXP in Seattle. KEXP is doing a lot of great stuff that definitely warrants checking out at their site. Like KCRW here in L.A. and a few other like-minded stations around the country (and a bunch around the world), they have a pretty interesting lineup of bands stopping by and doing live sessions and pretty much all of them are available via their website.

Tonight it's former Oasis members Liam Gallagher and Andy Bell fronting a new band, Beady Eye. Since Oasis' demise last year, they wasted no time getting a new band together and issuing their first album (which came out in March in the U.S.), which was a good move on their part simply to keep the energy level high (which the new material certainly is). They did this session for KEXP in February and they are all live versions of tracks from the album. So you get a chance to hear different versions of things.

Check out their site and check out KEXP's site while you're at it.

And as for me . .

I gotta keep this thing going too.

Can you help us out?
