Nights At The Roundtable with Trashcan Sinatras and their debut single from 1989 (or 1990 or 1991 depending on which country you're in) - "Obscurity Knocks" (album version).

Trashcan Sinatras - impeccable wordsmiths.

One of my favorite bands of easily the last twenty years, Trash Can Sinatras (or as they are now spelling it Trashcan Sinatras), first got together in 1986 as a mostly covers-oriented band. But clearly they were a whole lot more, even in the beginning. By 1989 they had released their first single which we're playing tonight.

Obscurity Knocks was their debut single and it was a huge worldwide hit for them. And when the resulting lp, Cake was released, it stayed on the Billboard charts some twelve weeks.

I'm happy to report they're still together, still recording, still touring and in fact just finished up a worldwide tour this past year and are probably getting ready to do it again.

A great band with a long history and a legacy of some wonderful music.

If you aren't familiar with them . . .I don't know what to say.
