Mitch McConnell says after the election Republicans will be more than happy to work with President Obama on issues they agree on as long as the president is willing to "come back to the center". Or in other words, as long as he's willing to govern like a Republican. Yeah, sure you will Mitch, just like you have for the last two years, right?

I'm not sure who McConnell thinks would believe this empty rhetoric since it is the same thing they've been saying since President Obama got elected while they've played Lucy pulling away the football time, after time, after time. Needless to say John King couldn't be bothered to ask him. He did ask him how he's going to deal with some of these teabagger candidates if we're unfortunate to see them get elected and McConnell did his best to dance around the issue and tried to pretend that the Republican Party would be happy to privatize and eliminate Social Security and Medicaid. Unfortunately those are probably some of the only issues Republicans would be happy to help President Obama with -- destroying our social safety nets -- that and tax cuts.
