This Week with George Stephanopoulos notes the deaths of nine service members in Afghanistan:

US Army CPT Andrew M Pedersen-Keel, 28, South Miami, FL
US Army SSG Rex L Schad, 26, Edmond, OK
US Navy CPO Christian Michael Pike, 31, Peoria, AZ
US Army SPC David T Proctor, 26, Greensboro, NC
US Army SSG Steven P Blass, 27, Estherville, IA
US Army CWO Bryan J Henderson, 27, Franklin, LA
US Army CPT Sara M Knutson, 27, Eldersburg, MD
US Navy SSG Marc A Scialdo, 31, Naples, FL
US Army SPC Zachary L Shannon, 21, Dunedin, FL

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan is now 3,270.

In addition, the following notable names have lost their lives this week:

Co-founder of Khymer Rouge Ieng Sary
SC state politician Thomas Rhoad, Jr.
