Denver is getting its first snow today. And it's not a light dusting either. Apparently, the prediction is for ten inches of snow. But that's not deterring the Occupyers, who are staying at Civic Center Park:
It’s cold, it’s wet, and we have people who are still occupying 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We aren’t going ANYWHERE!
These people are the heart and soul of this occupation and they need our support. Please bring down any and ALL winter supplies you can organize, including tarps, blankets, sleeping bags, etc.
Also, if you have the capability, please come down with your car, take some wet blankets, dry them and bring ‘em back!
We've been asking you to stand in solidarity with these protesters by sending money for pizzas, but clearly, they need much, much more substantial help to withstand the elements. There are already protesters being hospitalized for hypothermia. Let's show them that we support their commitment.
Or you can snail mail your donations

In the notes, indicate what city you'd like to donate to ie: Occupy Denver and we'll make sure that city is helped with your generosity. So far we've sent pizzas and supplies to 40 Occupy cities, totaling over $30,000. You guys rock...
Alternatively, if you're in the greater Denver area, they are accepting cash and blanket/coat donations at Civic Center Park on Broadway between Colfax Ave. and 14th Ave. You can send care packages to
Occupy Denver
1550 Larimer St box 224

Please help. It's an amazing commitment to the cause by these protesters to stay under such conditions. Let them know how much you appreciate it.
