US Army SGT Jason M Swindle, 24, Cabot, AR

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan is now 3,186.

In addition, the following notable names lost their lives this week:

Actor John Ingle, Mexican politician Jaime Serrano Cedillo, environmentalist Russell Train, supercentenarian and Spanish Civil War veteran Lou Kenton, photojournalist Bettye Lane and music executive Mat Domber.
