ABC's This Week marks the passings of singer Teddy Pendergrass, Frank family friend Miep Gies, photographer Dennis Stock and Boehner Chief of Staff Paula Nowakowski. In addition, the Pentagon released the names of 12 servicemembers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This brings the total number of allied servicemembers killed in Iraq to 4,691; in Afghanistan, 1,594. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 39 Iraqi civilians killed. Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, both the US and the UN are claiming that most of the civilian casualties are being caused by the Taliban.
