John McCain was asked by NBC's Brian Williams about recent rancor in Congress, even among Republicans, and in particular a comment by congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) where he called McCain a supporter of al Qaeda. McCain didn't hold back.

SEN. JOHN McCain: "Well on that particular issue, sometimes comments like that are made out of malice but if someone has no intelligence, it cannot be viewed as a malicious statement."

Now, it's possible McCain meant intelligence in the military sense, but it's far more fun to think otherwise.
