Others might have been taken in by the sheer, overwhelming "factiness" of the Jamie Leigh Jones rape/kidnapping/extortion case, but not the Heroes of the Wingnut State. John Swift (satire, but still) takes up the tale:

My God, these people are absolutely stupid!! This needs to be investigated and those responsible for raping and imprisoning that young women must be brought to justice.
The terrorists did in fact rape Jamie Jones. But in this case, the terrorists are KBR.

First of all, I am skeptical of the story, but nothing would surprise me at this point of the Iraq occupation (what a 21 year old woman was doing in the Green Zone, I'd love to know).
But to have this allegation attributed to the vast "Islamofascist" conspiracy is just plain wrong, stupid, and not worth our time. Yes, a story like this would bring a superpower down! I believe it!!!

Jamie Jones is lucky that KBR didn't send her to thier friends in Saudi Arabia. The whole problem would have dissappeared because the whole thing would have been her fault...

That’s because all a Senate vote does is refer the matter to the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C. His name is Jeffrey Taylor. And his last job before this one was as a senior adviser to former Atty. I don't often go to Mr. Ace of Spades website. In fact, this is the first time I've ever seen it. What a bunch of macho men sitting down in their mothers' basements eating Cheetos! The level of discourse was so elevated that "Suck my dick!" seemed to be the preferred way of disagreeing with someone. I don't think anyone has anything to fear from these low grade morons.
What a weird, twisted concept. It amazes me that people would even sit and write things like that out.
No wonder women are so hesitant to ever talk about this kind of stuff happening to them. In addition to the general attitude that "oh, she's just a whore" they apparently also have to worry about random blogs coming up with bizarre storylines that wouldn't even float well in a b-rated movie.
If Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers worked for KBR, the reich-wingers would be attacking Natalee Holloway and claimed she deserved it.
I never will be able to get over how the right wing views the military or those private companies that are contracted out to work with the military. Its almost as if they can not accept the fact that there are people in the military that do commit crimes. Further, Its almost as if the right wing sees the military or its contractors as some "saintly profession" where no one is capable of doing any wrong so they blame the "terrorists". Boy are they in for a surprise if they go on any military base!
I've lived on military bases most of my life and served in the miltary myself (Marines) and I've seen a lot of crimes commited. In fact, I commited some crimes myself as I recall. Heck, at one point, the entire base I was on was banned from going into town because there were murders of servicemen by other other servicemen, every weekend for an entire month. This wasn't counting the massive number of bar fights, DUIs and the like that were also a constant. I wish some of those right wingers would take a trip onto a military base. They will get a rude awakening and maybe then, they will see that Ms. Jones' case is not unique at all.
Oh if you think Ace of Spades is off the mark you should read Atlas Shrugs. (google it your own self I don't link to her on principle)

I won't even go to those blogs because I already know what they are going to say. Anything to protect their "saviors" in Halliburton or the military. The worst part is, that is already going on in Halliburton and in the military overall especially, with those persons that are involved in it. So these right wing blogs just make it worse for Jones. In some military units, like the one I was in, its like a good ole boys club and you do not rat out your buddies no matter what they did. Jones needs to find witnesses that are not part of that to back her up. Needless to say though, the pressure will be on those witnesses not to testify or come forward on her behalf.
True, there are some women that frequent military bases strictly for sex. We had a few that we nicknamed "barracks bunnies" because they were around so often. However they are well known and from what it sounds like, Jones was not of that sort and was just there to do her job.
You know how you could dampened the impact so that the tarrist couldn't get so much mileage from things like this? DON'T LET THE VICE PRESIDENT'S COMPANY DO BUSINESS IN IRAQ!
That being said, I also think it's a bad thing for people to gang rape somebody. Just saying...

Why do I have to attack them, Dr. Matt? Silence doesn't mean I defend them. I don't represent them, I don't even care to go to their website to read what they have to say? Would you even care what I thought of them? There are enough people on here bashing them.
If this woman was raped and molested and harrassed, I sincerely hope the people who did it come to justice. But if these bloggers are simply making the case that there's the likelihood of a rush to judgement by the left who have Halliburton Derangement Syndrome, then I'd say what else is new.

O-Bill, I wasn't making a parallel to the women Clinton molested and Jamie Leigh Jones; only the names she was called by the bloggers and the names Clinton's innocent victims were called by many on the left at the time. And all three of them had the legal system at their disposal unlike in this case. Their allegations were specious and never proven. If MSM doesn't cover stories like this, one has to assume thier is some agenda that they are following, otherwise what does it hurt to get rid of bad apples.
Jones' case was thrown out of court. Kathleen Willey was so untruthful and unstable Ken Starr couldn't use her (which is saying something!) and Juanta Broaderick was nothing but a TV interview and a shady one at that. I don't recall anyone calling these woman "sluts" or whatnot, most of the Clintonistas hated even mentioning them. Bringing these names up is beyond lame.
