Mike's Blog Round Up
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists: if you need information about energy it's probably not a good idea to hit energy.gov.
Existentialist Cowboy: one man one vote is a fiction (and that counts for you women too).
Princess Sparkle Pony: Callista hairdo alert!
Shakesville: right - Ron Paul knew nothing about those racist newsletters ... nothing at all.
blogenfreude blogs at Stinque - send your MBRU recommendations to mbru@crooksandliars.com - and because he loves you, he's sharing the reconstructed recipe for his Nana's blintzes. Appetizing!

If I was a citizen of Arizona, I would be pissed that my governor was spending more time planning bullshit publicity stunts with the RNC than running the state.
I am a citizen of Arizona and the less Governor Brewer does as governor, the better.

A conservative blog, really? Of all the progressive and liberal blogs out there writing about Governor Brewer and her increased Scorpions for Breakfast book sales and you had to link to a conservative radio host's blog?

I agree wih you on this. . Now I have to go wash my eyes out with soap. She was very disrespectful to the President.
It's nice to know what the enemy is thinking, but we don't need to send traffic to their blogs!

Thanks for letting us know, that one slipped through--we didn't notice Tammy was being facetious. Thanks for the head's up.
This link is the worst one I've ever seen in all the years I've read the Blog Roundup. I am disgusted.
First, when I look at that photo, I see an adult trying to calm a petulant child who is throwing a temper tantrum. Which is exactly what is happening.
Second, how old is Brewer's book? The cover says "Foreword by Governor Palin". As far as I can tell, there hasn't been a Governor Palin in the U.S. since July 2009.
If I remember right, Scorpions for Breakfast was published in 2011 (Governor Brewer even went on a book tour while trying to remove the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission's Chairwoman, Colleen Mathis). As far as "Governor" Palin, its an honorific that I have an issue with. It would have been more proper to state, "Foreword by Former Alaska Governor Palin", but that's too many words for simple brains.

Freddie Mac hired Gingrich as it reshaped strategy?
http://news.yahoo.com/freddie-mac-hired-gingr...
"A key part of Delk's strategy, as outlined in Federal Election Commission records, was to build goodwill in Congress by holding fundraising events for influential members of House and Senate committees that had oversight of Freddie Mac'.
"Gingrich had experience in such matters as an architect of GOPAC, one of the Republican Party's most important political action committees."
"Gingrich joined Delk's government affairs shop at a time when the former Freddie Mac senior vice president was hiring several former members of Congress and congressional aides for his lobbying team."
"At the time, conservative Republicans on Capitol Hill were seeking regulations to rein in the profits of government-sponsored lenders such as Freddie Mac."
"The FEC probe found that under Delk's guidance, Freddie Mac improperly used corporate resources to put on 85 fundraising events that raised about $1.7 million for federal candidates."
"The majority of the events were for Republicans, the FEC found."
"Republicans have blamed the government-sponsored lenders, which sustained $14.9 billion in losses when the U.S. housing market crashed, for a major role in the subprime lending crisis.'
"Weber said someone like Gingrich could provide an important service without lobbying."
"I wouldn't ask him to pick up the phone (to call a member of Congress), because that is really not necessary. He is circulating all the time with members of Congress," said Weber"
"In 2006, Freddie Mac agreed to a $3.8 million settlement for violating federal election rules, the largest civil fine the FEC had ever levied."
"Delk, who resigned from Freddie Mac in 2004, was not charged in the case."
Can I teach evolution in the Sunday school at your tax-free Church? No?!
Can you use taxpayer money to impose your religious beliefs on others? NO!
Separation of church and state is a wall, not a one-way door.
is it just me, or does that close -up of Mrs. Gingrich make you think she may have been the model for the
ever-popular Guy Fawkes mask worn by many protestors around the globe?
Or, maybe there is a Guy Fawkes mask under all that make-up and really weird hair?.
In either case, there must be something amiss with the Mrs. else why would she marry the Newtster?

that you linked to a blog by Tammy Bruce is repulsive. I have always enjoyed Mike's Blog Roundup, but this is ridiculous. You couldn't find some other progressive blog? Whoever you are, you shouldn't be in charge of the roundup ever again.
That was one where "Tammy" was being facetious and we didn't catch it. Our apologies.
