This was Glenn Beck yesterday. The video speaks for itself, really.
I suppose if he'd had to watch much more of that Obama video, he'd start foaming at the mouth.
As it was, one preumes that he went off and licked himself in a corner after the camera was off. Then tried humping the leg of the producer. Or something like that.
This is just becoming a clown act, like the Gong Show. Gong!

I watched him doing this yesterday along with my husband. When Beck finally stopped his barking, my husband said, "If he starts licking his balls now, this will be must see teevee.
When I was watching Beck bark, I had this quick feeling that he might be going to lose it finally. I mean it was strange to say the least. My dog, who will growl or bark when he hears another dog bark, didn't even pay attention at all to the noises Beck made. I guess Beck even fails at barking among other things.

If you REALLY want to sound like a dog, you need to make a sharp inhalation and say the word 'roar' as you do so. Of course, the result will be dependent on your natural voice (I sound like a Rottweiler, and have gotten people to do double-takes).
This will feel odd, and your throat may feel a bit scratchy, because you're not used to making sounds in this manner. However, if it HURTS, stop and don't ever do it again.
... I'll just have to make an assumption and chalk it up to Beck's "Howard Beale" syndrome. If he shows up for one of his usual nightly rants soaking wet and wearing a raincoat one of these days, we'll know the disease is just running its course.

I know the going line here is don't engage this jackass, but people take him seriously! We have to deal with this or the problem will just get worse. This idea of "oh they're just lost, let's forget about them," hasn't worked in my lifetime or since Rush came on the air and then the others (Savage, Hannity, Beck, etc.) followed him and then along came FOX "News" and it's just getting worse. If we don't go back at these people immediately and choose to just ignore them rather than engage them on the philosophical battle field, then the right-wing issue is just going to get far, far worse and with the way the Democrats keep playing this "let's be centrists" game, this country and its policies will shift more and more to the right.
The Gong Show was lightyears ahead of Beck in quality and taste. Of course so is a sewer.

With the sound off, Beck's physical, comedic timing is actually pretty good, in an Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy) sort of way.
That comes as close as anything to describing that thing Beck does.

I stopped watching Fox terror as much after the election because I really don't care what they think or say anymore and I'm really trying to wean myself off the AM hate radio too … they do not matter anymore.
But back in the days I watched Hannity and Orally as little as I could stand and they always came off as crazy to me but I guess sane to their audience. Mostly after a big speech to see how they twist it.
This guy though ... WOW I never listen or catch anything he says or does and this was one of the only videos I've watched of his ... JEEZUSS people take this loon seriously!?!?!?????

Come on now!! Be serious! I watched that show back in the day and the absolute worst acts on it were much more mature and professional then Becks crap. That and IF there had been acts that bad they would have been taken away to a mental hospital for psychological evaluation immediately.
The other thing about the Gong Show was that when an act was bad, it just went away. Beck is more like a terminal cancer. It just keeps coming back and won't die!

years of visiting an outpatient psychiatric clinic, I have never seen a patient who has disturbed me more than Glenn does. It's a testament to how much help Glenn needs that one woman I met who was about to go inpatient to the hospital was more sane than this guy, and the one time where I was close to going inpatient myself, I was still much more in touch with reality than Glenn is now.
Glenn needs to go inpatient, and not tomorrow, but right now.

You're right, there are some "religions" that are derived from philosophical schools. Unfortunately, they lost their search for truth when they made that move. There are some religions that aren't as bad as others. None the less, a lie is a lie.
As for Wiccans... I have a whole lot to say here, but very little of it is nice. I used to be part of the Neo-pagan world. I used to be part of the Traditionalist pagan world. I have a lot more criticism of them than I do my Christian upbringing because I know more about them and chose to buy into those delusions. But trashing them isn't really where I want this to go. While I'm proudly an atheist, I will defend the right of people to hold any faith they choose, or not at all if that's what they want. My opposition is social and I won't tolerate this choice being legislated. Freedom of religion isn't just my right to reject religion, but the right for people to practice their chosen faith, no matter how stupid I think that choice is.

I've been saying for some time that Beck is the broadest TV comedian since Benny Hill. Keith Olberman's characterization of him as "Lonesome Rhodes" is apt, for I'm sure Beck has as much contempt for his audience as that fictional character did.
But his antics also bring to mind Sir Guy Grand in THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN; the only difference between the two is that instead of proving people will do anything for money, Beck is out to prove people will swallow anything in service to ideology. If he could figure out a way to get his acolytes to swim in raw sewage, I'm sure he would.
