This Is Exactly Why The White House Considers Fox News Illegitimate
Obama officials went on the offensive on the talk show circuit last Sunday, reminding America and the corporate media that Fox News is not a legitimate news organization.
Staying true to their entertainment format, on Monday Fox News responded by putting up a poll on their website and what do you know...all of the choices are incorrect and none of them allow for the possibility that Obama is right.
What a knee-slapper! Feel free to re-write your own reality-based poll for them in the comments.

I may have heard Joe Scarborough wrong this morning but I thought he said the bush administration wouldn't allow any of their people to come on MSNBC back during those horrid eight years.
Mika and Joe felt they had to defend Fox regarding the white house "attack". If they feel their own stations is fair and balanced why not call out a station that isn't? I think the White Hoouse simply wants public recognition of the real media situation. They are unmasking Fox as opinion journalism. Now Americans get to think about this and decide how they feel about it - what IS Fox doing? Is it real news?
As far as the White House telling other media outlets NOT to follow Fox's lead -- This is EXACTLY what other media outlets have been doing. And Fox is putting additional pressures on them to follow their lead - All the BS they spewed about other media outlets NOT covering the Tea Bag rallies, for instance.

The President is attacking you because, as the leader of this nation, it is his job (among many other things!) to inform the American people of the events going on in the world, in the US, and in Washington. He does this through speeches, interviews, and statements to the press.
If an organization is using its media power to spread falsehood to the American people about those events, it is his job to make sure the people know that.

Larry Klayman is the wacko who founded Judicial Watch in the 90's primarily to attack the Clinton administration, (which he did by filing a score of lawsuits against the administration.) At the time, fox couldn't get enough of Klayman. He was regularly interviewed on fox programs and the folks at fox saw to it that all of his attacks on Clinton got more than ample coverage. In 2004, when Klayman's organization -- then, Freedom Watch -- filed a lawsuit against the Bush administration, the love affair with fox promptly ended. What's more, Klayman believes that a book deal to publish his memoirs through one of Murdoch's publishing holdings went south as a direct result of this. In fact, he accuses Murdoch himself of nixing the deal. The book has now been published by another publishing house and Klayman is on the road promoting the book and sharing what he now knows is the bitter truth about fox.
It's impossible to sympathize with Klayman, he got so much from fox when he was behaving himself. But isn't this a hoot?
