Chris Wallace Whines That The White House Are A Bunch Of Crybabies. Look In The Mirror Lately, Chris?
(h/t David N.)
Poor widdle Chris Wallace. That mean ol' Barack Obama won't come on his show but he's appearing on virtually every other Sunday show...including Univision, fer cryin' out loud. Univision! Oh, the humiliation of being snubbed like the ugly girl at the school dance.
Wallace goes on The O'Reilly Factor and says he just can't understand why the Obama administration would be so mean to him. In his mind, it's simply childish to refuse a spot on Fox News:
WALLACE: ...That’s exactly my position: I think Fox News Sunday is a truly fair and balanced show.
O’REILLY: You’re not an ideological show at all.
WALLACE: No. And it’s like they refuse to take “yes” for an answer. There’s a kind of childishness or pettiness about them…
O’REILLY: You know, that’s a…it’s an immaturity that if you don’t …if you don’t hold our line, we’re just gonna ice you.
Oy. The mind reels at the sheer hypocrisy of it all. Maybe the average Fox viewer has a memory that lasts no more than 10 minutes (which may explain the popularity of Glenn Beck) and thinks that the constant featuring of William "I am NEVER right about anything" Kristol constitutes being "fair and balanced", but does it seem odd to any critical thinking person why Barack Obama would choose not to legitimize the outlet that pushed the tea parties, madrassas, terrorist fist jabs, and even jokingly fantasized about killing him? And yet to widdle Chris, it's petty of the President to not want to be sandbagged as Wallace did with Bill Clinton.
Let me make it easier for you and the rest of the Fox crew, Chris. Obama has tried reaching out to you. Remember the interview he did with you over Rev. Wright? Your editorial department (read Mr. Ailes) decided that even if Obama reached out, that wouldn't stop your insinuating of his Otherness constantly. The next time you ask why Obama won't go on Fox, just have a gander at this:
'Nuff said.

Seems to me that Fox are the crybabies here. The Pres gave them a big F-You and now they are crying over the fact that there are consequences for all their hate mongering fomenting of sedition.
President Barack Obama says requiring people to get health insurance and fining them if they don't would not amount to a backhanded tax increase. "I absolutely reject that notion," the president said.
No spin zone
and full of Bullsh*t . .I mean look at this stuff.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_health_care_ove...
I have some serious reservations on this health care reform too, but it's not relevant to the topic, is it?
Wallace makes a valid point. Obama not only won't come on his show but he won't show up to speak about the concerns of progressives who he brushes off like gnats. And others to.

Do you have to have car insurance?
Do you have compitition in fast food restaurants?
Do you have compitition for cable companies?
Do these compititions make prices higher or lower for the consumers?
Do we deserve the same thing from insurance companies?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then you need to support the current push for the health care bill.
What a victim! Where's Mann Coulter?
hell schools should just forget teachers and put TV's in every classroom.
TODAY’S REPUBLICANS ARE AMERICA'S ENEMY WITHIN
Republicans ARE practicing seditious DEMAGOGUERY and purposefully counterproductive OBSTRUCTIONISM intended to destabilize our economy for purposes of political exploitation.
Republicans AREN'T making a sincere effort to STOP the bleeding THEIR incompetent leadership and failed policies created. Instead, they're using inflammatory lies and accusations as a smokescreen to conceal their subversive agenda, which is to cause President Obama and America to fail so they can blame Democrats for the consequences of THEIR calamitous mismanagement.
Republicans ARE preposterously professing that THEIR disgraceful political WHORING had nothing to do with the banking, real estate, stock market and employment catastrophes that resulted.
Republicans ARE trying to hamstring Democrats to prevent them from repairing the damage caused during a Republican presidency.
Republicans ARE offering ridiculous arguments meant solely to disrupt and prevent progressive change. They'd rather divide America and create political gridlock than endure the political consequences of effective Democratic governance.
Republicans AREN'T the LOYAL OPPOSITION; they ARE the ENEMY WITHIN whose mercenary personal priorities have eroded their moral and ethical standards to the point that duplicity and betrayal are their preferred modus operandi.
It's one thing to advocate their conservative beliefs; it's another thing entirely to willfully sabotage America's government because a successful Democratic presidency would not be vulnerable to the greed, fears and hatreds that have produced and sustained the radical Republican corporatism and anti-Christian racist social divisions that are poisoning and crippling America.
republicans put the Gog into Demagoguery?
Gag too.

Osage, Well said.
..looks like Sunday AM's ratings is going to go to everybody else. Then again a real "fair and balanced" network would probably have had the President on.
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"

This is a PR arm of the Repugnant party. They have proven to NOT be a credible news organization. They corrupt and misrepresent the truth, they outright lie, and they never correct any of their numerous errors.

Kettle to Pot: You're not either!! WTF are they talking about???????
And how many adversarial interviews did Bush sit down for? Shit, Bush couldn't even be in the same room with a t-shirt he didn't like.
If the bumpersticker on your car professed a desire for peace instead of war.
I'm not really into the tit-for-tat argument of "oh yeah? Your guy did it too!", but to conveniently forget how incredibly controlled the Bush administration tried to manage the media just shows how empty their complaint is.
Obama's been on Fox before and almost certainly will again. A real tit-for-tat argument would be "well Bush never agreed to a Democracy Now! interview!" Or more accurately, considering Fox's poo-flinging insanity of late, "well Bush never did an interview with Granma Internacional!"
Nice :D
mike wallace who was a part of a news team that set the example of what journalism should be, must be mortified that his silver spoon son, is working for a network that does everything that isnt journalism....
why should the pres. go on the crap network that insult and excoriates his presidency and lies about him on a personal level. screw fox, its a cartoon network anyway....
the stepford foxettes have nice legs and tits though.....
and Zbigniew Brzezinski probably comiserate together.
performances like this. I understand that he's probably a typically proud father who would never diss his son publicly, but I'll bet he hangs his head in shame every time he has to listen to little crHissy whine like this. Probably hits the bottle too...

Probably cries himself to sleep every night.
I don't blame Obama for snubbing Chris Wallace. Everyone knows what Wallace was going to do. Obama really needs to hit the airwaves right now and I'm glad for it. If the health care reform plan is anything like the Veteran's health care services veterans like myself get then it really isn't so bad.
My dad is a 50% disabled veteran (prority group 1) and recently wanted to get his nose fixed after a surgury he had to remove a cancerous growth left his nose in almost complete collapse. Doctors had said if he didn't have it repaired his nose would completely close up. He wanted to go to his regular civilian doctor but his health insurance wouldn't cover an "elective" surgury like that. He was told it would cost $22,000 minimum which would have to come out of his pocket. He went to the VA instead since they cover 100% of his medical care and is currently waiting for an appointment. In my case, since I am listed as 0% compensatable and in priority group 5 I can only get treatment for my service connected disability. Its still good though that if I ever need hearing aids that I can get a set for free from the VA. Sometimes its good to have a fall back position and that is what Obama's health care plan is about which is why people like Wallace hate it.
Waitaminute -- isn't FOX the one that refuses to show Obama's primetime speeches and newsconferences on its entertainment network when all the other networks do? Yet their complaining because he won't come on their "news" channel? What a bunch of hypocrites.
Jesus Cristo. What can you say about that? Their brain dead audience doesn't have memories that last any longer than Glenn Beck's latest tirade. You are dealing with STUPID, IGNORANT, MISINFORMED people. And FOX makes a fortune off that. We need to improve the education system in this country.

I can't remember any news show that ever complained about someone who didn't want to be a guest on their show.
They all say virtually the same thing word-by-word as a canned response during their story, "An invitation was extended to appear on this show, but they refused." (Sometimes a postscript is added, "But a spokesperson sent this response.")
Virtually, you can't read anything into it.

I blame MTV's Real World.

Man, oh manoschevitz, O'Really talking about immaturity...
Awwwww......, the republican propaganda channel is passed over by a democrat.
Not to worry though. Resident imbecile Glenn "the psycho" Beck will surely analyze it for all of those who are to stupid to realize they have soiled themselves.
With crocidile tears and gesticulations (as opposed to articulation), he will put together a random chain of events which will become more random and less logical the longer he talks.
And the morons will cheer and revel in their own stupidity.
Rush Limbaugh is what a smart person thinks a stupid bigot sounds like.
Liars making up shit for the ignorant republican voters.
It was the whole reason for making fox in the first place.
Looks like a failed experiment to me.
I have not watched anything I know is fox since 2000.
republicanism is a mental illness!
It's not that bad. In a short while you start thinking "how in the hell did I ever waste all my time staring at that thing"
the internet as I did TV.
Chris Wallace, and Fox news in general, have done nothing but bash Obama, Bill Clinton and the Dems in general. Wallace should have learned his lesson with Bill Clinton. After they do all the hathet work for the Republican party, then they want to be treated with "respect". Come on, they should look at themselves with their eyes open.
Oh boo hoo, it must really suck to get what you deserve, huh Chris? You and the Fox Nutwork bash others and lie with impunity and then people like Obama don't want to validate your joke of an organization by being seen on it.
Get over yourself, pal. Dealing with you is like working with a 3 year old having a tantrum.

I think everyone that supports Fox should look at this.

It might change the minds of those that have half a brain and let them start thinking for themselves. If you watch Fox, even during a live speech by the president, they are always talking over things and telling people their spin with their comments.
Yeah, that's right...keep on cryin...
Let's talk about fair and balanced...and its antidote...the crap you people get paid to spew to a viewership that has to hire a detective agency to find their left butt cheek....

Didn't Fox just publish a full page ad COMPLAINING that the other networks didn't cover THEIR little teaparty enough? You know, the ad that cribbed a still photo of the crowd FROM THE CNN FEED (of the network that allegedly DIDN'T cover the protest!)
Just maybe, because FOX declined to air previous Presidential addresses from this administration, the admin just didn't bother to extend the invitation this time. I mean, really, if I invited someone several times to a function and they consistantly refused I'd be disinclined to continue to extend the invitation.
Holy Crap! That was pure satire. It is refreshing to know that some talking heads on Faux can enjoy poking fun at themselves as though they were serious about journalism.
Everyone knows that Faux is an advocacy group, but it warms the heart to know that on rare occasions they can approximate the functions of humility.
'We, the People'............rimshot................hahahahahaha!
It looks like Chris is joining W in the nepotism hall of fame.
"Well, again, we're wondering here whether or not Barack Obama in fact is the president of the United States," Chris Wallace told Fox News viewers, well over an hour after Obama had taken the oath of office today.
F*** you and the network you rode in on.
I wouldn't f*** them with your d***.
And smile.

It amuses and at the same time angers me that Wallace would dare claim his show is not "ideological," to use O'Reilly's term, when it is clear to any conscious person with the keenness of mind to notice, the entire program known as "Fox News Sunday" is the most biased, prejudiced, and ideological program on TV. It is just more subtle than O'Reilly, Hannity, et al. The subtlety probably can be atributed to Newspeak evil genius Roger Ailes, but Wallace probably worked with him.
From the start, a controversy is brewed up with usually strong spokespersons for the conservative GOP point of view set against over-polite or otherwise compromised spokespersons for the left, and Wallace moderates in such a way as to always finish on something positive for the former. Then, his "panel" takes over and you get an unbalanced and unfair list of the usual suspects, but always comprised of two far right wingnut types (e.g. Brit Hume and Bill Kristol, one moderate-to-right person (Mara Liasson) and one moderate-to-left token "liberal" (Juan Williams, often overwhelmed, and it occurs to me that this is also intentional: if three moderate to far right commentators are set against one left of center person who is black, you are playing to the GOP base in the Deep South).
Keep watching for the following: (1) Kristol's smirk whenever Williams is talking, a mask hiding a seething anger over anything that sounds a little left of center, (2) Brit's glancing at Wallace to see his reaction (one could swear these two pick each others' pockets backstage), and (3) Williams getting shouted down by Brit, Bill, or Chris. They put Juan at the end so that someone can always rebut what he says. By starting with Brit (or Fred Barnes from time to time), they begin with a far right person, and when one of the group contradicts what Williams has said, they end with a far right person. Fair? Balanced? Sure.

Let's revisit the Oreily/Fox coverage of the Pirate / Hostage story ...
Or the Fox "News" tracking the Stock market after Obama's recovery package...
Revisit ANY story on Fox and you get the same thing. Turn it on right now and there'll be an Obama/dem bashing segment on as I speak. Duh, if you want to not be called bias Fox stop being biased.
To hear wallace and billo talk, the prez is miffed because of beck and, geez hannity.
The network has, 24/7, fox and friends, brian wilson, huckaby, turdblossom, dik morris, carl cameron, wall street editorial page, liz trotta, krauthammer, hume, cavuto and all of his fake financial pundits, greta and bill kristol who are of course, all ardent supporters of the President. Certainly fair and balanced.
Cry me a river.
That was quite an eye opening debate between Chris Wallace and O'Reilly on how fair Fox News is. It really turned me around. I guess I've been wrong about Fox all along. Touche' gentlemen. "Oy!"
on you not 'doing your homework'.
Watch the t-bag parties and 'angry' townhalls and you are watching the people in your class that never did their 'homework'. These are the 'cheaters' who thinks EVERYBOBY 'cheats' and would rather 'copy' Faux's homework that risk exposure to anything 'intellectual' because the 'original' tea-bagger, Dick Chin-ey, says being smart is 'Marxist'.
The FACT that these people keep getting caught with 'bogus' photos, numbers, birth-certs, death-panels etc, etc, 'drowns the credibility that only THEY thought they had to begin with.
Wallace is the clown sitting in the mibble of a KKK rally claiming to not be a racist.
Hey, Chris, you lay with dogs, you smell like dogs.
Remember, we're supposed to be the literate ones!

...as everyone knows, the one true way to judge a man is to imagine smoking pot with him. Of all the fox vomit heads, the only one I think might get mellow would be Wallace. I don't know why.
Who wants to help me hold Chris Wallace down and smoke him?
I think Chris has a stick jammed so far up his backside, he would NEVER do pot. And he would be a miserable paranoid asshole, afraid of every noise, certain the cops are on the way to kick in the door. A real bum on the stone to those around him.
Shep Smith is the FOX guy I nominate most likely to enjoy herb.
me-oww!
but I don't know. I think that stick might drop out of his ass if he got a good buzz on. Call it intuition. I think Wallace might be a laugher.
