Politico's Mike Allen has some quotes from the private Alfalfa dinner last night, including a knee-slapper Joe Lieberman told about Dick Cheney and torture.

Your definition piqued my interest in just what was the purpose of Zionism. It is correct to say they are people who believe that Jews should move to Israel, but there is more to it then that. Another goal is to focus on the "centrality" of Israel in Jewish life in other countries.
If Israel is central, then how could allegiance to the U.S. survive where a conflict exists between the goals of the two nations?
