He says that he strongly supports the No Child Left Behind program that he so vehemently promoted.

Williams said he understands that critics could find the arrangement unethical, but “I wanted to do it because it's something I believe in.”

I'd believe in it for 240k.

About the 240K he got paid for doing so:

He worked for it, that's the American way right? I wonder how much Sean Hannity gets paid for defending...oh wait he gets paid by FOX. Isn't that the same thing?
