Conservatives Are Less Educated Than Liberals
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2003 the average percentage of people with a Bachelors degree or more across the United States was 26.7%. 25 out of 31 Conservative States had a lower than average percent of their population with a Bachelors degree or more (81% of Conservative States) versus 4 out of 20 Liberal States that had a lower than average percent of their population with a Bachelors degree or more (20% of Liberal States). The lowest percentage of a states population with a Bachelors degree or more in the country is found in West Virginia with 15.9%. The highest percentage of a states population with a Bachelors degree or more in the country is found in the District of Columbia with 44.4%.
