Ned Lamont was on "Face the Nation" this morning and was being hit by right wing talking points from Scott Pelley, filling in for Bob Schieffer. Ned did a good job of explaining his position and showing the weaknesses of these talking points.
Pelley asked if the news of the foiled terror plot changed things for Lamont. Lamont stood his ground and fought that talking point right off. Ned points out that perhaps our country has become a "little complacent" when it comes to the War on Terror. Of course, distractions like Iraq will do that to a nation.
Lamont is getting more polished with every one of these interviews, which will really help out on the campaign trail. He did a good job of hitting on the fact that he isn't a career politician. This country wants a change and they want to see new faces inside the Beltway. Lieberman is definitely not a new face and needs to become a face of the past.
