The race for Billionaire Blessings is on! Top winner gets lots and lots of Billionaire Bucks to spend in the Great White House Auction of 2016, brought to you by the likes of Sheldon Adelson.

How sickening is this?

Three of the nation’s most prominent governors, all touted as potential Republican presidential candidates in 2016, presented advice here Saturday about how their divided and demoralized party should refocus to reclaim the White House.

Under the watchful eyes of a few hundred powerful Jewish donors — none more heavily courted than billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson — Christie, Walker and Kasich also emphasized their support for Israel and advocated a muscular foreign policy.

“We cannot have a world where our friends are unsure of whether we’ll be with them and our enemies are unsure of whether we’ll be against them,” Christie said. “In New Jersey, no one has to wonder whether I’m for them or against them.”

The three seemed less confident speaking about foreign affairs than they were about domestic policy. Christie drew murmurs when he referred to the “occupied territories,” a phrasing some in the audience said was a gaffe.

Officially, the governors were in Las Vegas to address the spring leadership meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, which has long promoted a staunchly pro-Israel and interventionist foreign policy. But their political objective was to build relationships with potential benefactors who could bankroll future campaigns.

Yes, they were all kissing the ring this weekend. Chris Christie, who apologizes to no one ever no matter how rude and overbearing he is, tucked his tail between his legs and snuffled up to Adelson after his "occupied territories" gaffe, apologizing profusely for using a term that offends Those Who Take What They Want Because They Are Entitled:

The source told POLITICO that Christie “clarified in the strongest terms possible that his remarks today were not meant to be a statement of policy.”

Instead, the source said, Christie made clear “that he misspoke when he referred to the ‘occupied territories.’ And he conveyed that he is an unwavering friend and committed supporter of Israel, and was sorry for any confusion that came across as a result of the misstatement.”

Adelson accepted Christie’s explanation, the source said.

Well thank God for that, because without Shel Adelson, Christie would be more screwed than he already is. Didn't anyone give him the memo about how one must speak of Israel and incursion into the West Bank? Evidently not.

Why on EARTH would any ordinary American cast a vote for any of these four after watching them suck up to a guy like this? Since when is Israel more important than the people (and voters) in this country?

Every fawning report I read about this turns my stomach, not only because they're all Sucking For Bucks, but because it's so blatant. I'm sure Shel Adelson's ego is stroked along with whatever else gets him going, but to me, these four ought to be disqualified purely for the cynical Bow-and-Scrape routine.

Just put Putin's name everywhere that you see Adelson's. Or any dictator of choice. Anyone who would so willingly and publicly sell their soul like that is not an electable candidate for president.
