The Daily Show's Jordan Klepper tried to interview serial Obamacare misinformer Betsy McCaughey to discuss why it's been such a tough road for critics of the Affordable Care Act to continue to demonize the law, and this Thursday he found out the hard way that when that happens, you get treated to her walking off the set.

Op-Ed: Obamacare misinformer Betsy McCaughey walks off The Daily Show:

Betsy "Death Panel" McCaughey, the serial Obamacare misinformer, walked off of the Daily Show yesterday. The Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper tried to interview McCaughey, asking her "It's been a tough road for critics of this law," he asked.

"People that are behind repealing this, are we going to get them on our side," and immediately the "Mother of the Obamacare Death Panels," refused to discuss the matter with McCaughey, threw off her mic and walked off in a Tea Party huff. McCaughey should have known better, as her arguments were decimated back in 2009 on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She had plenty to say then, but ended up eating her words. See the video here or above. Even the "Mother of the Obamacare Death Panels" no longer had anything to say, as Obamacare is working for up to as many as 28.4 million Americans, according to the ACAsignups.net. Not to mention the 9.3 million that have signed onto a "Private Qualified Health Plan," of which at least 8.03 million are confirmed paid enrollees. Read on...

Unless we find out later that she was somehow in on the joke and this was staged, it doesn't appear McCaughey was too happy with the way the interview was going right from the get go. Unless she never watches Stewart's show or did not realize who was interviewing her, I'm not sure what else she expected to happen.

Given her track record of lying and fearmongering day in and day out when she's been allowed on the air, I'd say she pretty well reaped what she sowed.
