Since President Obama didn't send someone important to Paris for the quickly planned march this past Sunday, the folks at Fox News have concluded that terrorism is something the president takes very lightly. On Cashin' In, host Eric Bolling posed this question to rile up the right wing lunacy:

Is there a disconnect between the way the Obama administration is treating terrorism and jihadists and homegrown terror with what the American people are thinking?

Illogically, Michelle Fields surmised that not attending a march which was held to show solidarity with world leaders united to combat terrorism, (of whom many stifle free speech in their own countries) means President Obama could care less about terrorism. In her usual frenetic style of babbling, she proclaimed:

Yeah, well, people are living in fear right now and they realize that we have a president who doesn't treat the issue as importantly and isn't really thinking of it as a big issue. If this was a big issue for him, he would have sent someone, he would have gone to France! He didn't even care! That shows what his priorities are. It's not a big issue and this is a huge issue. It's also a huge issue in terms of our allies. If someone has a passport and is a citizen and is traveling to our allied countries and do something bad, that affects us and it affects the stability of the world.

One of Field's qualifications as a terror expert is graduating from Pepperdine University in Malibu. Her claim to fame was when she pissed off Matt Damon with her intrinsically paternalistic view of the teaching profession. She was destined for Fox News super-stardom with her attitude that teachers never deserve tenure and they should shoulder the blame for classroom overcrowding, poor funding and rampant child poverty. On the plus side, Damon did put her in her place nicely by defending his mother's noble profession.

Since that 2011 moment, she's devolved into a raving maniac who has a serious case of cognitive dissonance. Isn't she forgetting that President Obama was the one that gave the go ahead to kill Bin Laden? There hasn't been a foreign terrorist attack on American soil since Barack Obama became president, but because some disgruntled French Muslims shot up a magazine's offices in a different continent, he's soft on terror.

It's astounding how these crazy pundits share their perception of a pusillanimous president, and they can assert their contrived lunacy while Fox News' viewers eat it up like freedom fries. It's not likely that the Fox News' viewer will ever venture outside his bubble, so people like Fields and Bolling will continue to earn a good living as grifters.
