Rep. Peter King blasted Sen. Ted Cruz in a memo he released Monday morning by equating him to a circus performer.
Peter King On Ted Cruz: More OF A 'Carnival Barker' Than A 'Leader'

After Sen. Ted Cruz announced his presidential run for 2016, Rep. Peter King released a statement bashing his qualifications for the oval office. CNN reported his remarks earlier this morning.

King: The Republican Party and the American people have to be able to find a more qualified candidate for president than Ted Cruz. Shutting down the federal government and reading Dr. Seuss on the Senate floor are the marks of a sideshow entertainer, not the leader of the free world."

For all the nonsense Peter King has spewed on television over the last decade, he's pretty accurate on this account.
