In a genre that's typically full of lush harmonic textures and complex rhythmic structures, it's interesting to see an artist take a more minimalist approach to the style. Bomba Estéreo has been around for a long time and has done many different takes on Cumbia. Their latest release has definitely been a step forward for the band and hopefully we'll see more from them sometime soon.
