Fox News must desperately be trying to make themselves seem "fair and balanced" after last night's ridiculous debate. So on Monday night, Bernie Sanders will be appearing for an hourlong town hall.

Washington Post reports:

Anchor Bret Baier announced Thursday that the presidential hopeful would appear with him and said that Hillary Clinton had also been invited but declined because of “a scheduling conflict.”

Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said there had also been discussions about having Republican front-runner Donald Trump appear at the same forum, an idea Sanders welcomed. Sanders has long said he would like for there to be debates in which candidates from both parties participate.

I won't lie. It bothers me that Fox News will claim liberals' attention for the sole purpose of gathering ways to attack after the primaries are over. It's a pretty cynical play on their part. I just hope Bernie can thread the needle and get his message across without them pouncing on everything he says.

Update:

So now Hillary is joining him for it. It's still a terrible idea, and legitimizes Fox News in ways that they do not deserve.
