To MSNBC's Chuck Todd, the biggest news of the day wasn't Donald Trump's crazed press conference, but the formation of the Libertarian Party, which he considers a real third party.

He opened the show and correctly described Donald Trump's un-excellent adventures at the podium this morning as "press conference porn" before he turned to the Gary Johnson/Bill Weld ticket. I might have added the word 'torture" in front of the porn reference, but it works just as well.

Todd said, "Let's talk about this wild day, as usual, in American presidential politics. What we saw earlier today from Donald Trump, could best be described as press conference porn. Trump's morning press conference was splashed all over the airwaves, all day long today.

"And he ripped the press who cover him, furious at all the scrutiny he received over millions of dollars, that he believes he was always going to believe he was going to give to these veterans charities. Course, the press corp. fired back. It was a spectacle. But let's be real. This dogfight with the press today is not the most important story..."
