A somewhat important question that Julian Assange manages to completely dodge.
BILL MAHER: “Why haven’t we seen anything hacked from the Trump campaign? Obviously we know these came from Russia. And we also know that you do not like Hillary Clinton at all, as does not Vladimir Putin. It looks like you are working with a bad actor, Russia, to put your thumb on the scale and basically fuck with the one person who stands in the way of us being ruled by Donald Trump.”
Assange never answered the direct question, first deflecting with the fact that one William Maher had given $1 million to a Democratic SuperPAC in 2012 (Priorities USA) in support of Barack Obama, and asking Maher is he had done the same in 2016 for Hillary Clinton. Maher replied "Fuck no!", as he like Assange is no fan of the Clintons either. Assange then veered off into a technical answer of the hacking involved of the DNC. Maher never goes back to his original question for an answer, though he did ask Assange if Wikileaks would hack Donald Trump's tax returns. Assange chuckled, "We're working on it."
