The ACLU published a full page open letter to Trump in The New York Times.

Since the shocking election of Trump as President, the ACLU, like many other groups supporting diversity and civil rights, has seen a surge in memberships and support. It only costs 20 bucks to become a card-carrying member.

Anthony Romero sat down with Rachel Maddow last night to say that regardless of how some might attempt to sugarcoat Trump's rhetoric post-election, we have to take him at his word when he says he wants to deport undocumented workers. The only way Trump can succeed in doing that deportation is with unconstitutional search and seizures. Romero is not exaggerating when he suggests there could be wide net searches of people's homes and businesses in an attempt to round up "criminals."

Rachel Maddow ends the segment with some advice for Romero: "Eat your Wheaties." All of us are going to need all our strength this time.
