To get a job in Trump's cabinet, it appears all you had to do was be one of his supporters.
There is talk that the odious Rudy Giuliani, who appeared consistently unhinged as a Trump surrogate is the leading candidate to get the position of Secretary of State, but another source within the Trump camp is claiming that the former ambassador to the U.N., John Bolton is also high on the list.
John freaking Bolton.
Billionaire Sheldon Adelson supports Rudy but also loves Bolton almost as much. The Hill reports that Adelson wants Bolton to have a big job in foreign policy or national security.
And Stephen Bannon is also a big supporter of Bolton and loves his "uncompromising stance against radical Islam."
You may have forgotten, but Bolton was so distrusted by Senate Democrats, they refused to vote on his nomination as the ambassador to the United Nations so President Bush used a recess appointment to install the controversial figure.
Republican, Sen. George V. Voinovich (Ohio), opposed Bolton's confirmation because of concerns raised by some former colleagues, who described him as an abrasive bully who sought to remove people who got in his way.
If Bolton gets the job, America will look even crazier than it does now, but it will signal how much power Bannon has within a Trump administration.
And I guess Bolton will follow a long line of blowhards that Trump has been surrounding himself with.
