There's a battle going on between Trump, his surrogates and supporters over who should fill the Secretary of State position.

The fire breathers in Trump's transition team want the unhinged Rudy Giuliani to be the man while others prefer a more palatable Mitt Romney for the post.

Probably the most hilarious aspect of this squabble is that they feel Mittens was too mean to Donald during the campaign and want him to give a public apology.

Too mean! Are they serious?

Trump, who took vitriol to new heights in his campaign is upset that Mitt came out so strong against him.

Fox News is reporting that Donald Trump’s transition team wants Mitt Romney to publicly apologize for railing against the president-elect during the campaign.

According to Mediaite, a transition official told Fox’s Ed Henry that some in Trump’s inner circle want the former Massachusetts governor to apologize in order to be seriously considered for the secretary of State.

In the above speech that Romney delivered back in March, Romney said, "He's a phony and a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University."

Mitt continued, "His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill."

So much of Trump's make up revolves around his vanity. He defends Russia and refuses to criticize Putin because Vlad once praised Trump.

Since neo-Nazis are supporting Donald, he refuses to denounce them forcefully while his surrogates sugar coat what being a white supremacist means.

If Romney apologizes then it makes him ineligible to be the Secretary of State.

For all the horrific lies, smears and insults the Trump team throughout against every Republican and Democratic rival, many Republicans felt the same way as Romney did as well as the vast majority of Americans.

If he cries uncle due to being pressured by the surrogates then he's telling America that what he said in Salt Lake City was all a lie.

Is he that cowardly?
