MSNBC Republican strategist Steve Schmidt lit into Mike Pence for his "appalling" and "disgusting" behavior using "the flag and the anthem as a prop" yesterday
On Sunday Trump and Pence concocted a PR stunt to make believe Pence was upset about players kneeling during the National Anthem. Pence flew from Vegas to a Colts game to support Trump's bogus fight with the NFL so he could make a scene and walk out of the game.
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough was not a fan of Pence's actions either: "It's pretty incredible. We're talking about Mike Pence going and really angering the people of Indianapolis and Indiana."
Speaking about how the security setup at the stadium inconvenienced those attending the game, Joe said "This is so much worse than Bridgegate."
The team and fans were celebrating Peyton Manning's excellent career. Pence had been scheduled to attend to honor Peyton Manning.
Steve Schmidt said, "It's truly amazing. So he took Air Force 2. Full package of secret service from Las Vegas to Indianapolis for a stunt, inconvenienced tens of thousands of Colts fans too, again, use the flag and the anthem as a prop and the greatest desecration of that flag is the assault on its foundational values which occurs every day with this administration with their attacks on the spirit of the First Amendment, freedom of the press, freedom of expression.”
“Utterly appalling, wasteful, profligate, disgusting behavior from the vice president. He ought to be ashamed of himself,” Schmidt said.
Elise Jordan said, "A native son who has made it big time going home and the whole state, I'm sure, wants to celebrate, and welcome him, and then they're just part of being a political prop. It's sick and it's sad and a waste of taxpayer dollars."
Schmidt wasn't done, "He then flies back to California for a fundraiser for Dana Rohrabacher someone who literally in the Congress is Vladimir Putin's number one useful idiot."
Yep, he did that.
The Trump administration has no shame whatsoever. They will use anyone or anything for propaganda purposes, and that means you Peyton Manning.
