Texas Attorney General and U.S. Senate Candidate Ken Paxton has been caught blithely dismissing the mass slaughter and wounding of dozens of elementary-school children in Uvalde, Texas.
The recording shows Paxton making the jaw-dropping remarks in the aftermath of the 2022 massacre. 19 children and two teachers were killed and 17 others were critically wounded by a gunman wielding an AR-15-style rifle that day.
I vividly remember MS Now host Nicolle Wallace unable to hold back tears when she discussed the event on what was then MSNBC.
But not “pro-life” Ken Paxton! In the tragedy’s aftermath, he suggested we should all just accept the murders as God’s plan and, apparently, just move on.
“There’s always a plan. I believe God always has a plan and life is short, no matter what, it is,” Paxton said.
The children and teachers were no longer fetuses, so why should he care? After all, that might endanger the right of Texans to butcher children with assault rifles.
