Apparently, the title of this song came from a bumper sticker that Bob Nastovich from Pavement gave to Sonic Youth. Bob is a big horse racing fan, and the story goes, that the sticker said: "Bull In The Heather" on it. Bull In The Heather was a racehorse, who against 29 to 1 odds, won the Florida Derby in 1993.

This month marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the album, the 8th studio one for the band, Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star.
