Republicans seem to be scrubbing their websites of harsh anti-choice language. Women are a huge voting bloc, and we don't appreciate that conservatives were so gleeful when the Supreme Court ripped our constitutionally protected right to have an abortion from us. Horror stories started popping up of a 10-year-old having to flee her state to get an abortion procedure. And a lot of Republicans thought that was OK. A Louisiana woman may be forced to give birth to a headless baby.
One of those pro-life Republicans who has scrubbed his "no exceptions" promise for rape or incest is Bo Hines, who is running for Congress in North Carolina's 13th district. Hines moved there just one month out before the primary.
As far as I can tell, Hines's resume consists of him playing college football, and that's it. Bo has said that he's 100% pro-gun and pro-Trump and that Trump is the greatest President in American history. He believes the 2020 election was stolen and said, "to hell with the Jan. 6 commission."
Hines will face off with Wiley Nickel, a pro-choice Obama alumni who is an attorney and has a resume in politics. Nickel took to Twitter after Hines scrubbed his site of his harsh language on abortion. I did find one photo remaining of Bo with Trump in the immigration section of his site.
Yeah, good ol' Bo is a fan of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Madison Cawthorn. That's not something a person should brag about, but he has.
What happened to these pics, Bo?
Deleting his "life and family" issues section from his website won't make it go away. It previously linked to a fundraising page touting his belief "that life begins at conception and that we must protect the rights of the unborn."
Full disclosure: I've met both Hines and Nickel. You can donate to Wiley here. Because Bo, who has said he wants to be a "MAGA warrior" in Congress, seems to have forgotten that his idol is under investigation for espionage, among other serious charges.
