Gov. Ron DeSantis didn't handle the coronavirus pandemic well in his state, and he's continuing down that road. In February, Florida Man announced new COVID policy recommendations that discouraged mask-wearing and pushed physicians to use off-label medications to treat the virus.

I think it's safe to assume that DeSantis will run in 2024 since he just made another "look at me" announcement. And all of the pro-disease conservatives will eat this up.

"Our CDC, at this point, anything they put out, you just assume, at this point, that it's not worth the paper it's printed on," he said. "And so it's not serving a useful function. It's really serving to advance narratives rather than to do evidence-based medicine."

Ronald wants to convene a panel of "experts to do various things," so he's "creating what we're calling the Public Health Integrity Committee."

Ronald does not like our nation's top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci. And he doesn't really need a reason. Conservatives want to be outraged at something or someone. Fauci's public service will go down in history books, but historians will be horrified at how Republicans behaved during the pandemic. I see that Ronald is still upset about protective face masks. Imagine, of all the things going on in this world, that you're upset over wearing a simple mask amid the pandemic.

That's the Republican party in a nutshell. DeSantis is smarter than Trump, but that's setting the bar pretty low.
