Fox News, who as a network continually downplayed the Jan. 6th insurrection, was forced to cover the event that celebrated the heroic performance of law enforcement defending the US Capitol on January 6 from Trump supporters who were incited by Trump, his supporters and allies.

That was shocking to me, but what we didn't see during their broadcast was almost the entire Republican caucus attending the festivities.

Only one member, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, paid his respects to the fallen heroes and their families while the rest of the Republicans were no-shows claiming the event conflicted with a conference call.

A f**king conference call.

Michael Fanone, the former D.C. Metropolitan Police officer who fought off insurrectionists at the January 6 assault and suffered a heart attack the day joined CNN and was furious from their absence.

It's very difficult to defend the Republican Party when only one of their members takes the time to show up and show support for law enforcement that was there defending them that day."

"It's disgraceful," Fanone continued. "It's an embarrassment for their party and it's disgraceful behavior. And as somebody who has previously supported Republican candidates, it's shameful. But they seem to be a party, at this point in time, that is without shame."

Another shameful display from Republicans when a fight almost broke out among members trying to elect a new Speaker of the House.
