Earlier this week on Newsmax, Alan Dershowitz defended Trump pressuring Brad Raffensperger, Georgia's top elections official, to "find him 12,000 votes" to overthrow the election was perfectly lawful because the word "find" could be interpreted in different ways.

Dershowitz reminded Newsmax viewers that there is a recorded phone call of Trump bickering with Georgia officials over the 2020 election.

"[Trump] said 'find me, find me,' those are the keywords," Dershowitz said. "Find me 11 or 12,000 votes. Well, 'find' has two possible interpretations."

"That is, 'discover,' that is, get votes that have been made but haven't been counted and make sure they accounted. Perfectly lawful," Dershowitz said.

"The other is 'invent,' 'create' but that's not what 'find' means."

"And the idea that you can indict somebody on an ambiguous statement like that in the face of beyond a reasonable doubt," he continued.

"I don't see any possibility of a valid criminal prosecution based on that phone call," Dershowitz chimed.

If a mob boss is caught on a phone tap asking his associates to get rid of "him" and then they find "him" dead hours later, was the mob boss just asking for him to leave some unknown premises?
