Freedom Caucus member Rep. Ken Buck, tried to claim that all of Trump's legal and ethical issues have brought him credibility to the Republican Party

CNN's Dana Bash asked the Colorado Congress-critter if the GOP would be better served having a different candidate as the presidential nominee.

"You have acknowledged more broadly that Donald Trump is facing some ethical challenges in his campaign in addition to what we're talking about the classified documents probe," Bash said. "He's under investigation for election interference in Georgia for January 6. He's already been indicted in New York."

"Would Republicans be better off with a candidate who is not facing multiple criminal investigations?" she asked.

Without blinking an eye, Buck responded.

"You know it's interesting. I think that the multiple investigations and civil lawsuits that have been brought almost give this presidential candidate and former president credibility," Buck claimed. "He keeps saying that the world is against him because he's trying to make these changes."

Who knew that multiple allegations of sexual assault, special counsel investigating his hoarding of top-secret documents, payouts to porn stars, inciting an insurrection, and Georgia election interference are not disqualifying actions but actually a badge of honor.

The CNN host followed up by trying to pin him down on what he believes instead of the MAGA cult members.

"Sorry, forgive me, but you said, I know what you're saying it gives him credibility with maybe with some in the electorate, but for you, Ken Buck, does it give him credibility to you?" Bash asked.

Buck refused to condemn Trump on any of his misdeeds including being impeached twice while in office and instead said he just cares about what he did in office

"I don't look at the actions that he has taken that that are being investigated as much as his his role as a former president and and what his policies were," Buck replied.

Apparently it wouldn't matter if Trump hired some of his Christian nationalist cult members to critically assault Ron DeSantis, since the only thing that counts for Rep. Buck is what Trump did while he was previously in office.

The MAGA cult is living in the Twilight Zone.
