Former President Donald Trump took part in his favorite pastime, gish galloping on Truth Social over the holiday weekend. Conservatives have been trying to eradicate the Affordable Care Act for what seems like eleventy billion years now, and they're opposed to Obamacare even though the GOP, including Trump, has been incapable of coming up with a viable alternative in all of this time.

The Trump administration has worked to get Obamacare tossed out in its entirety. Oh, and if you come up in here claiming that Trump tried to protect those with pre-existing conditions, then I'm not responsible for whether my 65-year-old skinny fists start coming at you or not. So, stop that. If you believe that, you have been a victim of Trump's illusion of authority, where he wants you to think that only he tells the truth, no matter how absurd it sounds.

Remember when Trump called for terminating parts of the constitution, and his supporters denied that he said that very thing that we all heard him say, so he did it again, and they denied it again?

Trump took to Truth Social to use the t-word again, but this time, about Obamacare.

"The cost of Obamacare is out of control, plus, it's not good Healthcare. I'm seriously looking at alternatives," Trump wrote. "We had a couple of Republican Senators who campaigned for 6 years against it and then raised their hands not to terminate it. It was a low point for the Republican Party, but we should never give up!"

Biden campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa weighed in on X.

What would happen if Lumpy terminated Obamacare?

29.8 million Americans would lose their health insurance across the United States if Obamacare were repealed— And 1.2 million jobs would be lost—not just in health care but across the board.

Don't worry, though. I'm sure Trump will devise an alternative and present it to the public in just two weeks. The Biden campaign needs to ask the other Republican hopefuls how they feel about terminating Obamacare. It's way past time to get honest.

Do Trumpers really believe that they will be OK if they are suddenly without insurance? Financially, I would be completely wiped out several times over.

UPDATE: The Biden-Harris campaign was swift to respond:

“40 million people – more than 1 in 10 Americans – have health insurance today because of the Affordable Care Act and Donald Trump just said he would try to rip it away if he returns to power. He was one vote away from getting it done when he was president – and we should take him at his word that he’ll try to do it again.

“That means letting insurance companies deny coverage to people with preexisting conditions like diabetes, cancer, or asthma; kicking college kids off their parents’ coverage the moment they graduate; leaving a job once again resulting in a loss of coverage; premiums skyrocketing; and middle class families suffering. Donald Trump’s America is one where millions of people lose their health insurance and seniors and families across the country face exorbitant costs just to stay healthy. Those are the stakes next November.”
