During the State of the Union address, when Joe Biden blasted his predecessor for his lack of concern regarding the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, someone yelled, "Lies!"

That someone was quickly identified as none other than Wisconsin's Drunk Uncle, Drunken Van Orden, er, I mean, Derrick Van Orden. That in itself is not surprising. DVO has a history of screaming at people. He terrified a teenage girl working at a library because of a display of a book about Mike Pence's pet bunny. He drunkenly raged at teenaged Senate pages who were making memories on their last day in the Capitol. And he screamed at White House staff that told him things he didn't want to hear about the October 7th attack on Israel.

However, this time has a different feel to it. DVO was too ready with his rationale for his outburst, even though his reasons had nothing to do with the situation at the time:

The interjection came early in the remarks, as Biden derided Trump over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"My predecessor failed in the most basic presidential duty that he owes to the American people, the duty to care," Biden said, after which Van Orden yelled: "Lies!"

"I think that's unforgivable," Biden added of Trump.

After the address, Van Orden confirmed to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he was the member who yelled, saying: "If Biden thinks for a moment President Trump doesn't care about the American people, that is a lie." He cited Trump's handling of the border and attacked Biden for the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

It's almost like he was coached and rehearsed that before hand.

Then again, that's giving DVO a lot of credit, considering that he's not a big one for forethought.

Maybe they should give DVO a breathalyzer test before every session, just to be on the safe side.
