Republicans and the right-wing media bubble are freaking out that Biden is at Camp David preparing for the debate this week while Lumpy is holding rallies. They know he won't win the debate. So, they're giving him excuses to claim the felon is being mistreated. Both sides agreed to the debate being hosted on CNN, and I suspect it's to provide the former President with an excuse for coming to a battle unarmed.

CNN This Morning anchor Kasie Hunt wasn't taking Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt's shit, so she put her in her place. Trump enablers usually talk extremely fast in interviews so the hosts can't get a word in. People like Rep. Byron Donalds, for example. But Hunt didn't let that happen as Leavitt tried to bash debate moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash instead of addressing the questions presented to her.

Hunt played a clip where Trump said, in part, "I'll lose the debate on purpose." That's when the interview went off the rails.

Despite the lack of evidence that Trump is preparing for the debate, Leavitt insisted that Trump is "well prepared," adding that "unlike Joe Biden, he doesn't have to hide away and have his advisers tell him what to say."

"[Former] President Trump knows what he wants to say, and he's going to relay his vision to the American people to make this country strong, safe, secure, and wealthy again," Leavitt insisted. "He's been doing that across this great nation to all corners of this country."

Note: That is not how debates work, you git.

"That's why he was in Detroit, Michigan last week," Leavitt continued. "He was in Philadelphia for a big rally on Saturday night. And that's why President Trump is knowingly going into a hostile environment on this very network, on CNN, with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well known over the past eight years and their biased coverage of him."

Hunt wasn't having it.

"So I'll just say, my colleagues, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, have acquitted themselves as professionals as they have covered campaigns and interviewed candidates from all sides of the aisle," Hunt said, adding, "if you talk to analysts of debates previous," you'll find that "if you're attacking the moderators, you're usually losing."

"Well, first of all, it would take someone five minutes to Google 'Jake Tapper Donald Trump' to see Jake Tapper has consistently," Leavitt said before Hunt cut her off.

"Ma'am, we're going to stop this interview if you're going to keep attacking my colleagues," Hunt shot back.

"I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past," Leavitt said while ignoring Hunt's warning that she would end the interview.

"Okay, I'm sorry, guys. We're going to come back out to the panel," Hunt said, adding, "Karoline, thank you very much for your time; you are welcome to come back at any point. She is welcome to come back and speak about Donald Trump."

On Xitter, Hunt clarified:

And more whining from Leavitt.

I don't watch CNN very much anymore, but Hunt was spot on. The question was about Donald Trump, not how much her boss's feewings have been hurt by CNN hosts. I'm only surprised that she didn't demand that Alex Jones or Sean Hannity moderate the debate.
