Area Man Rambles About Alternative Facts And History. Again.

Trump claims that the country was built on merit, not diversity.

Trump went to Ireland and delivered another low-energy, rambling, nonsensical speech. During his ramblings, Trump delivered another batch of alternative facts, claiming that the country was built on merit instead of diversity.

And I sent in the National Guard, and these are all people that are in based on merit. We won a case in the Supreme Court where everything we do is based on merit. Our country was built on merit. It wasn't built on, let's say, diversity, let's say various other things; it was built on merit.

Well, that should be a surprise to every American who is not insane and/or suffering from dementia. I guess that means we can send the Statue of Liberty back to France and destroy that Emma Lazarus poem at its base.

Diaper Donny must have forgotten, like so many other things, that America is the great melting pot, not a merit pot.

Hell, it's even on the Almighty Dollar, which Donny worships: E Pluribus Unum - Out of many, one. Then again, Donny can't even speak English, so Latin is way out of his grasp.

The most ridiculous part of it is the simple fact that if this country were really built on merit, Trump would be in prison right now instead of the White House.
