Sen. John Barrasso got perturbed with Meet The Press host Kristen Welker after she repeatedly asked him if he agreed with Trump's ban on the free press.

Trump banning CNN, MS now, and Politico in the White House became a focal point on today's Sunday news talk shows.

"Alright, I do want to ask about President Trump's decision to ban CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House over their reporting, which he disagrees with," Welker said. "Do you agree with the President's ban, Senator?"

Barrasso responded by using the usual false equivalencies and whataboutisms that are the cornerstone of the Trump administration excuse making.

"The President, remember in his first term, he was banned from Twitter. He was banned from Facebook. And I didn't see people come to his defense, so it goes both ways," Barrasso said.

Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook for continually making false, outrageous and conspiracy theory remarks on their platforms. Twitter permanently banned him after the January 6th insurrection citing further risks of violence.

Both are also private companies, therefore the First Amendment protections we as citizens receive do not apply to federal and local politicians. It only applies to the government of the United States trying to censor and suppress information, and stifle a free and fair press for the public at large.

The Senator claimed Trump doesn't believe he gets a fair shake from the press, which is how criminals feel.

WELKER: No President has ever thought they've gotten fair treatment from the press, to be fair.

But as you know, Senator, the First Amendment guarantees freedom of the press.

The courts have barred the White House from banning access over their coverage.

Do you believe he is violating the Constitution with this ban, Senator?

BARRASSO: No. I believe the press has an obligation to report fairly.

What does reporting fairly mean? That is a subjective term and in our present reality Trump is trying to subjectively decide what is fair to him only. In regard to the facts on the ground, Demented Donald does certainly not want the truth reported to the American public.

After going on with his whataboutisms, Welker played video of Trump, refusing to accept his non-answer to her question.

"And I have stopped all government censorship and brought back free speech in America. It's back," Trump said.

"Senator, the President and the administration has now limited reporters it doesn't like in the Pentagon and the White House," Welker stated. Do these bans amount to government censorship?"

"You know, I think I've answered, you've asked the question a couple of times and I've answered," he said with a smirk on his face.

Ms. Welker, stop asking the Senator questions he does not want to answer.
